About me

Welcome to my blog!
If you’re reading this, then that means you’re interested in learning about me. You must be very bored!

My name’s Cecilia, but please, call me by my nickname; I’m Yuri Ookino, but you can just call me Yuri.
I’m 25 and I’m from Italy, that’s why my English sucks. So I apologize if reading all my comments and tags makes your eyes bleed.

I’m a painting restorer. Well, I will be if someone hires me! I’ve just graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts. But despite that, I’ve never taken practical art lessons. However it’s not a problem because in my country that’s not a requirement to becoming a restorer.
Anyway, I love drawing, especially digitally.

I’m currently obsessed with Sherlock and its cast, Cabin Pressure, Game of Thrones, Parade’s End, neverending passion for LOTR, the Hobbit and Harry Potter.

I’ve been drawing fanarts for Hetalia and especially FrUk. Arthur Kirkland / England is my favorite character, so you’ll see him a lot among my fanart.
I’m also interested in manga in general, and I’ve wasted lots money buying a Japanese comics.

I especially like historical stories, and I’m obsessed with historic clothing and history in general. But that’s not all, I also love cosplay. I sew my cosplay myself, but sometimes I get so frustrated when I have to fix something and I’m not able to, I start crying and punch my sewing machine. Yes, I also taught myself how to sew.

I love reading and writing. So far, I’ve written fanficions about Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles and Hetalia. I’ve also translated one of them, and you can find it on my DeviantArt or my Livejournal.
In addition to loving Manga and its country of origin, Japan, I’m also in love with Great Britain. I’m planning to move there next year and start a post-graduate course in Museum Studies.

Finally, I love cooking! If you’d like some delicious original Italian recipes, just ask. :)
About my cosplay:
As I’ve already said, I’m self-taught, but I’m totally available to give you any advice or tutorials about sewing and crafts you may need . Just ask me!

I hope you’ll enjoy your stay in my blog!
